Paper-Wood
Paper-Woodは色再生紙を木単板の間にはさみこんで生まれた新しい合板です。小口断面に現れるストライプは、今までの合板にはないカラフルで美しい表情を持っています。2009年に滝澤ベニヤにより新たに開発されたこの素材は、現在までに著名なデザイナーや建築家により数々の建築・インテリアに使用されてきました。2010年にはGood Design Award を受賞しています。
Paper-Wood is a new plywood made by laminating colored recycled paper sandwiched in-between each veneer layer. The stripes that appear at the cut cross section impart colorful and beautiful expressions that conventional plywood does not possess. This material newly developed by Takizawa Plywood in 2009 has been used in numerous buildings and interiors by renowned designers and architects. It received the Good Design Award in 2010.

PLYWOOD laboratoryの合板はすべて、北海道の自社の工場で生産されています。北海道産の木材にこだわり人の手で丁寧に製造された合板です。木口面に穴などがないよう単板1枚1枚をしっかりと検品して補修をしているため、切った木口断面に欠点が少なく、美しい断面としてそのまま使用できる高品質な合板です。
All the plywood from PLYWOOD laboratory is manufactured at the company’s factory in Hokkaido, the northernmost region of Japan. The plywood is produced manually with great care by people dedicated to using wood grown in Hokkaido. Because the cross section of each sheet is checked and refinished individually to guarantee there are no pores or other defects, the plywood is of very high quality with very few flaws in its cross sections, and can be used as a beautiful cut surface “as is.”
